Gothic-Revival limestone memorial monument with richly decorated central spire and pinnacles, erected c. 1905, by The Cork Young Ireland Society. Boarded up summer 2002, and undergoing restoration.
Imposing monument on a key site of one of the city's main thoroughfares. Significant as a fine example of an historical monument, and also due to it's singular design.
