MV *Captayannis* was a Canadian ferry that operated in the Great Lakes region before being sold and repurposed in the UK. It sank in 2016 while being towed to a scrap yard in Turkey, foundered off the coast of Argyll and Bute after taking on water; no lives were lost, and its cargo of scrap metal was lost to the sea.
