What is recorded here

Mutton Island is a sheep-grazing islet off County Clare that may have been mainland until 804, when the Atlantic took it. Thomas Burgh likely built its two forts around 1702 to watch the water, while people lived there until the 1920s. Now the abandoned houses stand empty beside the ramparts, and the sheep still move across the grass as if the island had never become a room with no walls.
Mutton Island is recorded as a islet in County Galway. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
