Murthly Castle, East Gate is part of the historic Murthly Castle estate, originally built by the Comyn family in the 13th century and later held by the Earls of Mansfield. It is important as a well-preserved example of medieval Scottish architecture and as a site with strong historical associations in Perth and Kinross.
