MULTIVALLATE RATH: LISNACANNON in Drumack

MULTIVALLATE RATH: LISNACANNON

What is recorded here

An unknown human hand built Lisnacannon in County Antrim during the early Christian period. The multivallate rath still stands scheduled, its concentric walls holding the shape of a house, a fortress or a boundary marker. People may have lived, feared, loved or raged inside those walls before memory vanished. The earth kept the answer while human chatter stopped listening.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as MULTIVALLATE RATH: LISNACANNON. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. Recorded protection: Scheduled. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
