Mullaghadoney Old Burial Ground stands on a flat-topped rise in County Donegal, where a few stones still mark the dead beneath grazing land. One stone, eighty-five centimetres high and seventy centimetres wide, carries a small hole near its western edge, perhaps made for a nail, rope or ritual purpose no longer remembered. The place keeps its distance, offering wide views and little explanation, while the buried people remain nameless beneath the grass.

Marked 'Mullaghadoney Burial Ground' on the 2nd and 3rd editions of the OS 6-inch maps. The site now consists of a group of stones, presumably grave-markers. One of these, .85m high, .7m wide and thick has a hole c. 3cms in diameter close to its W edge, at mid-height. The site, in grazing land, is a flat-topped rise with good views.
