Mount Uniacke (in Ruins)

Ivy-clad ruins of 'early 18th-century, single storey house raised on a high basement' (Glin 1988, 52; photo 49). Entrance front (S) of 5-bays, 2 bays to W collapsed; stone steps up to central door with simple architrave doorcase of limestone; large window opes with brick surrounds. Central core of house entirely fallen. Courtyard to rear enclosed by ruined farmbuildings. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
