Freestanding limekiln, built c.1850, set into side of hill. Rubble stone outer casing with red brick lining.
This limelikn is one of two within the Mount Briscoe House complex. It is situated close to the original eighteenth-century Mount Briscoe House which is in a ruinous state, and the current nineteenth-century house of the same name. It suggests that there was much activity in the area at an almost industrial level.
