What is recorded here

This potential feature was reported by Michael Connolly, County Archaeologist, Kerry County Council. It was identified by him during the course of an assessment of a 40 square mile area for the purpose of choosing a road route in 2000 to the north of Killarney. Reported to the Archaeological Survey of Ireland as an extant mound. There is a distinct mound in the paddock adjacent to SW, however there is also a mature black bull in this field with a group of heifers. It was not possible to investigate this mound any further. There are numerous mounds across this landscape in general as seen from the tertiary road to W. These appear to be natural, possibly post-glacial deposits. It is yet to be confirmed if this particular mound is naturally occurring or otherwise.
