Killacorraun holds a small oblong mound of earth and stones just below the top of a prominent rise, facing Nephin across rough pasture and bog. Its western edge stands sharper while the eastern side slumps beneath hawthorn bushes, suggesting that people shaped it before forgetting the exact reason. It remains a quiet marker in the landscape, large enough to see from a distance but small enough to overlook in a hurry.

In pasture, located just below the top on the NE side of a prominent rise in an area of rough pasture and bog. There are excellent views over a broad sweep of the surrounding landscape, with Nephin dominating the skyline to SSW. Small oblong mound (8.7m E-W; 6.3m N-S; H 0.5m at S, 1.4m at N) of earth and stones. It is rather irregular in shape and height, curving and broadly slumped on the E side but with a straighter, more vertical side at W. A Neolithic passage tomb; date to the 4th–3rd millennium BCE. Its location suggests a strategic and ceremonial significance, possibly linked to early agricultural communities and landscape orientation.
