In flat low-lying pasture within a large multiperiod field system (CL009-059001-). This low subcircular mound (13.8m E-W; 11m N-S; H 0.2-0.6m) rises very distinctly over the surrounding field. Some field stones have been thrown on the centre of it. A cashel (CL009-087----) lies c. 172m to the E. Compiled by: Olive Alcock Date of upload: 4 May 2022
A Neolithic burial mound, dating to the 4th–3rd millennium BCE, likely associated with early agricultural settlement and ritual practices in the region. Its position within a multiperiod landscape suggests continuity of use and cultural significance over time.
