Lisnacallee, the ringfort of the hag, stood in Dromkeen West until men levelled it into ordinary soil. Maps from 1841 and 1916 still outline its circular boundary, preserving a shape the land has forgotten. The hag may have lived there, or the name may be a joke told by frightened children, but either way the mound resisted human claims. It took seven years to build and one afternoon to erase, which suggests hags do not trust permanence.

Lisnacallee/Lios na Caillí (ringfort of the hag; KE015-043----). This circular enclosure is marked on the 1841-42 and 1916 OS maps, and on the earlier edition 'cave' (KE015-043001-) is marked in the interior.
