What is recorded here

Located just off the top of a rise in a gently undulating, low-lying landscape. It is not depicted on any map but is visible on an oblique aerial photograph (CUCAP: AHN 60). This is a flat-topped grass-covered mound (diam. of top 6-6.4m; diam. of base 10.5m E-W; 9.5m; H 0.2m at E to 0.7-1m generally).Archaeological testing (04E0207) just to the S, on the other side of the road produced no related material (Powell 2004). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987).
