What is recorded here

Caherelly East is a wet pasture where a hidden mound waits beside a watercourse, not a foot from the boundary with Doonvullen. A ringfort stands 185m to the NE, suggesting the area once held more life than grass. The mound may have marked a home, a burial or a boundary, but water and time have taken its shape from human sight. What remains is a ghost in the soil, waiting for drought or dig to remember itself.

Identified as a subcircular-shaped cropmark by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 146: AP 4/3659). Monument is not visible on Digital Globe orthophotos taken 2011-2013 or on Google Earth orthoimage taken 28/06/2018.
