Two small mounds sit inside and beside a raised ringfort in Ballyhemikin, County Kerry. The central mound measures 2m by 2.6m, while a second lies 2m southeast at 1.8m by 3.6m. They are so close they may have belonged to one life, though no hand has pointed that connection since.

The interior [of ringfort (KE015-094----)] is at a higher level than the surrounding land, and in the centre is a small mound (KE015-094001-), 2m x 2.6m internally. About 2m SE of this rath is another small mound (KE015-094002-), 1.8m x 3.6m, which could be connected to the fort. The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’.
