What is recorded here
Mooghaun Castle stands in ruins near Mooghaun South, a tower house reduced to stones and memory. It belongs to the Clare landscape where local families built strong walls against bandits and bad weather. The exact builders and dates have faded, but the shape still suggests a household that valued defense and pride.
