Monuments

Stands c. 11m SE of GA111-022005-. A rectangular drystone pier (L 1.15m, Wth 1m, H 1.95m), now partly collapsed, but originally surmounted by a cross bearing the letters IHS. The NE face contained two plaques commemorating 'Peter Wiggins', dated 1826, one of which is now displaced. Linked to St. Ene, an early Irish Christian saint associated with several sites in the west of Ireland. The cross and plaques suggest a tradition of pilgrimage and devotion, possibly connected to local healing practices or protective rituals.
