Otway's pen captured the Ballyglass monument before modern surveys forgot its exact stones. Westropp repeated the claim decades later, pushing the mystery into official memory. The true identity remains hidden between two court tombs near Ballycastle, waiting for someone to stop guessing and look.

This record is listed in the SMR (1981) as ‘monument’ based on a reference in Westropp (1912, 116) to ‘..the interesting monument (illustrated by Otway) at Ballyglass between Dunfeeny and Ballycastle..'.
