What is recorded here

Isolated cross inscribed stone, c.1780. Simple Latin cross carved into the sloping south-west face of a boulder. Arm width approximately 30 cm. Set in a small quarry beside the military road on the open moor.
This carved cross is located in a rough and overgrown quarrying area next to the military road and other old paths. Its association with former religious activities makes it a valuable historical and social addition to the barren landscape.

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
