CroftheadBurnt Mound (prehistoric) · 106 yd

Explorer Tom Crofthead is claiming that a fox once took charge of its prehistoric burnt mound and ran a very successful little empire for a week. It’s got that 'I have seen things' look in its scorched earth, refusing to blink. The mounds are still there, looking suspiciously like they’re guarding something important. Hang around long enough and you'll hear a story from a local.

CraigieburnFort (prehistoric), Settlement (iron Age), Unenclosed Settlement (prehistoric) · 461 yd

Explorer Tom Craigieburn is a mess of forts and settlements stacked on top of each other like bad decisions at a party. It’s prehistoric, Iron Age, and unenclosed, which means everyone just wandered in and out without asking. I bet the whole parish argued about whether the walls were actually walls or just suggestions. Best visited with a curious kid and no timetable.

Craigieburn FarmFarmstead · 588 yd

Explorer Tom Craigieburn Farm hosted a dance once where everyone got so carried away they forgot to check for bees, resulting in a very chaotic exit strategy. It’s still trying to figure out if that was a highlight or a disaster. The sign outside looks like it’s seen things and is too polite to comment on them. Snap one photo, then put the phone away and actually look.

Cornal Tower PlantationBuilding (medieval) - (post Medieval), Platform (medieval) - (post Medieval), Rig and Furrow (medieval) - (post Medieval) · 1396 yd

Explorer Tom Cornal Tower Plantation has an imaginary fan club that meets every Tuesday to discuss how cool the rig and furrow really are. It’s a tower, a platform, and some ancient farming patterns all trying to be the star of the show. I think it’s just waiting for someone to take its photo seriously enough to make it feel special. Tell me if the gossip I made up is true.
