Moated site in Monteen

In pasture on N-facing slope. Rectangular area (36m N-S; 32m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.2m) with external fosse (D 1.2m). Fosse bounded on N side by earthen field fence. Entrance (Wth 1.2m) with causeway across fosse on W side. Interior slopes gently down to N; planted with conifers.
