What is recorded here
On a NE-facing slope, off crest of hill, in undulating terrain, in pasture. A tower house, Moorstown Castle (TS076-039----), is visible to the N. Monument depicted as rectangular enclosure on the 1st (1840) ed. 6-inch OS map, but not marked on subsequent 1904-05 ed. There is no visible trace of the rectangular enclosure above ground. The surrounding field boundaries are still in situ.
