In level wet pasture on the NE side of a field system (TS057-016014-) and with a ringfort (TS057-016001-) 20m to the SW and ring-barrow (TS057-016002-) 20m to the SE with others nearby. Trapezoidal area (dims. 6.3m SW-NE; 6.2m NW-SE) enclosed by an earthen scarp (Wth 0.6m; H 0.2m) with a shallow fosse (Wth at base 0.45-0.5m) and a low external earthen bank (int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.1m; Wth at top 0.7m; overall Wth 1.7m). The NNW side is defined by a modern WSW-ENE orientated modern field bank. Interior is level and clear of overgrowth. Enclosure is defined by a curving section of the nearby field system (TS057-016016-) that lies 8m from the edge of the enclosure NE-SSW. A linear NW-SE orientated section of the field system extends parallel to and 4m from the edge of the enclosure on the WSW side. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 26 August 2011
