Depicted as hachured rectangular enclosure (c. 50m E-W; c. 40m N-S) on 1842 OS 6-inch map, with W half of enclosure bisected by N-S townland boundary. In pasture, on S-facing slope. Levelled; interior (42m E-W; 34m N-S) defined by low rise to N, E and S, on E side of townland boundary; no visible surface trace of site on W side of boundary. Kilbrin settlement c. 150m to NNW; Kilbrin medieval church (14403) c. 400m to ENE. Field named 'Camp Field' on 1937 OS 6-inch map; according to Bowman (1934, 402), Lord Inchiquin encamped here after Battle of Knocknanoss in 1647 (14694). Listed by Barry (1981, 83, no. 35).
