The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Rectangular platform (19m N-S, 26m E-W) enclosed by wide fosse (Wth 6-7m). Low bank on edge of W part of platform (H c. 0.3m). Platform rises steeply to H of 1.5m above fosse at E end. Monument enclosed by field system of wide dykes and low banks, possibly comtemporary.
