Located on a small headland on the E side of an inlet. On inspection in 1994 it was found to consist of an almost continuous layer of oyster shells (D 0.4m 1.2m) exposed in section for up to 150m along the shoreline. It is directly beneath the sod and is underlain by orange, sandy subsoil. (Synge 1985, 128)
