Kenure Church (Lusk)Church/chapel · 581 yd

Explorer Tom Kenure Church (Lusk) is an 1866 Church of Ireland building designed by James Edward Rogers, with Portland stone lancet windows that are absolutely stunning. The rose window on the gable is a showstopper, so make sure you catch it from the right angle.

Kenure ParkGate lodge · 620 yd

Explorer Tom This Kenure Park gate lodge has a veranda that looks like it’s waiting for tea. It was built back in 1865 next to the parsonage. Check if anyone is hiding behind the limestone quoins, mate.

Mariners PlaygroundChildren's playground · 779 ydComputer-made picture. It does not show this playground.

Explorer Tom Mariners Playground in County Dublin smells like old rope and salty regrets. I bet there’s a pirate ship that only appears at low tide. If you see a parrot, ask it for directions!

Children's playground816 ydComputer-made picture. It does not show this playground.

Explorer Tom This Children's playground in County Dublin has a seesaw that goes up but never down. I think it’s just physics, but the locals are suspicious. Try it and see if you float.

St. Catherines WellHoly well · 849 yd

Explorer Tom St. Catherines Well in Rush Demesne is sitting in a housing estate near Kenure Park. It’s annotated on old maps but now it’s just a well among the flats. Pick a stone, any stone, and invent its biography.

Kenure PorticoMonument · 878 yd

Explorer Tom Kenure Portico in County Dublin looks like an entrance to nowhere in particular. It’s got that grand facade but maybe no destination behind it, which is weird.

IndicatedCastle, tower house · 971 yd

Explorer Tom Roebuck Castle was almost totally destroyed in 1641, then rebuilt into an admin building for UCD, which is a wild career change. It used to be an L-shaped fortress, but now it’s just a place where students get stressed about essays. Walk past slowly like you're in a film.

The MillbankVisitor information · 1.1 mi

Explorer Tom The Millbank has a windmill mound in Rush that's seen better days. The lower part is still standing there. Get a shot of the old stone for me!

Rush South BeachBeach / strand · 1.6 mi

Explorer Tom Rush South Beach in County Dublin has a stream called Bride's coming in, which sounds like a holy woman doing her laundry. If you see her wringing out a sheet, wave politely but don't get too close.

Castle (in ruins)Castle, Anglo-Norman masonry castle · 2.3 mi

Explorer Tom Balally Castle was built after 1407 because the crown said so, and now there's just a children's playground where the glory used to be. It’s basically a castle that retired early to become a swing set. Look for the ghost, then pretend you didn't see it playing tag.

Lambay HarbourBeach / strand · 3.5 mi

Explorer Tom Lambay Harbour in County Dublin was photographed from a yacht called Tic Tac. Tell the boat to stop ticking and start floating. It’s a harbour, not a timepiece with an ego.

Thomas AsheMemorial · 3.7 mi

Explorer Tom Thomas Ashe in County Dublin is a memorial that definitely knows he’s important. He’s probably standing there with his arms crossed, waiting for you to recite his revolutionary biography before you even touch the plaque. Keep it brief, yeah?
