Exposed in section in the cliff-face at the N side of Fermoyle island, was a very small lens of shells, c. 0.1m long and c. 0.02m deep. A single flint flake was recovered from the site which has now disappeared as a result of collapse of a large section of the cliff. (information: A. McCarthy) The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 13.
