Miah Dennehy

Miah Dennehy was born in Cork city on 29 March 1950, the same place where he died on 10 November 2023. He became the first player ever to score a hat-trick in an FAI Cup final when Cork Hibernians defeated Waterford United in 1972. The winger also represented the Republic of Ireland and played for English clubs including Nottingham Forest, Walsall and Bristol Rovers before returning to Irish football.
