Included in the SMR (1989) as an unlocated monument classified 'Mine Working'. Not listed in the RMP (1995). According to McCracken (1957, 133), ironworks which belonged to the Rutledge family were operational in the mid-18th century. The exact location of the ironworks is not known and no local knowledge of its location survives. This is probably post-1700 AD in date.
