Unlocated Ironworks within townland, described by Feehan in Laois an Environmental History as 'The extensive ironstone workings of the seventeenth century on the Cullenagh Hills have been swallowed up in the new forests which now clothe the hills, but those on Knockawn west of Spink can still be seen' (Feehan 1983, 352).
