Megalithic tomb in Toormore (inchiquin By.)

Megalithic tomb

What is recorded here

Toormore in County Clare holds one of Ireland’s oldest visible chambers, built when people still measured life in stone and memory. Its unclassified form resists a simple label, yet the chamber remains clear enough to imagine: hands on rough stone, a dead person carried through, a family returning later to remember. Much has been lost, but the tomb still does its work, holding time steady and inviting wonder.
