Megalithic tomb in Glasdrummond

The OS Revision Name Book (1857, sheet 12, p. 51) records that in the S end of Glendrummond townland 'There had been in this place one of those Druidical Monuments called in other parts of Ireland Crumlagh or Tamlagh meaning a sepulchral monument. It was a large stone about 30 tons weight and resting on four large flags standing endways. They were blasted and broken up about 14 years since for building fences by the present occupiers'. The location is not known. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986).
