Killanin and Duignan located a ruined prehistoric chamber tomb on Farbreaga Hill, though the exact spot remains uncertain unless it is the known court tomb seven hundred metres southeast of the summit. The stones may have marked a burial place for people who walked that hill before written history, but the true identity of the ruin still escapes definition. What is clear is that human hands shaped the landscape there, and what is lost is the precise address of their work.

Killanin and Duignan (1962; 1967) claimed that there is 'a ruined prehistoric chamber tomb' on Farbreaga Hill, in Drumanoo townland.
