What is recorded here
Cnoc Na Lobhar holds an unclassified Megalithic tomb in County Mayo, Ireland. The site remains a quiet stone witness long before written memory, perhaps marking burial, boundary or ceremony for people whose names never reached us. Its exact shape and purpose have faded, but the stones still distinguish the hill from ordinary ground.
The Archaeological Survey of Ireland (ASI) is in the process of providing information on all monuments on The Historic Environment Viewer (HEV).
