Megalithic structure in Glennanammer

Situated on a W-facing slope of a shelf at the head of an ESE-WNW valley. Fragments of unburnt human bone from what was described as a recently destroyed megalithic tomb were acquired by NMI in 1961 (Lucas 1963a, 124). The tomb had been situated in rock outcrop and was described as two parallel stones with a third on top. One of the stones (dims 1.5m x 0.6m; T 0.25m) survived. The human remains were at a depth of 1.2m and lay on a flat stone in three discrete accumulations. No remains of the structure are now visible, but the location is known locally.
