Megalithic structure in Carrigeen East

In the SE corner of a possible enclosure (GA104-092006-). This megalithic structure consists of two orthostatic limestone slabs (stone A: H 1.25m; L 2.04m; T 0.42m; stone B: H 1.08m; L 2.12m; T 0.5m) which may form the side-stones of a small rectangular chamber (L 1.85m; Wth 1m) aligned roughly E-W. A third slab (H 0.95m; L 0.95m; T 0.45m) forms the E end of the chamber which is open to the W. McCaffrey (1952, 10, 222, plate 3) recorded that the chamber was reputed to be the site of a 'priest's burial'. Possibly a wedge tomb?
