McCarthy (1991, 86) recorded a mass site on Tim Twomey's land, in Gleann an Aifrinn 'marked by a ring of sods beside a bank'. Exact location not known. A mass-rock associated with clandestine Catholic worship during periods of religious persecution; such sites were often linked to local saints or priests and served as places of spiritual refuge and community gathering. No specific saint or cure is recorded in connection with this site.
