Seana-Sheipeal, the old chapel, stands south of a burial ground in Cloghanaculleen. People gathered there to pray beside dead ancestors and living children. The rock still holds that shape even though no one remembers the exact spot.

O'Donoghue (1986, 3), records a mass-rock to the S of a burial ground (CO147-030----) in Cloghanaculleen townland. According to O'Donoghue (ibid.), this mass-rock was known locally as 'Seana-Sheipeal meaning the "old chapel".' The mass-rock has not been precisely located.
