What is recorded here
Knockaderry, County Limerick, is the birthplace of Mary, Lady Heath, the Irish aviator and sportswoman who became world-famous in the 1920s. She was born there in 1896, lost her mother to murder when she was one year old, and was raised by two maiden aunts who discouraged her passion for sports. She went on to break records, fly planes, and challenge every boundary placed around women.
