Fog swallowed Cork Airport on 10 February 2011, hiding the runway from the Fairchild Metro III until it was too late to turn back safely. The crew attempted a third landing in the grey void, but the plane lost control during the go-around and struck the ground. Six people died, including both pilots, while six passengers survived the crash with injuries. The tragedy exposed how poor training and oversight could transform a routine flight into a fatal mistake.
Manx2 Flight 7100 is an aviation accident in County Cork, Ireland.
