Manod Mawr North Top rises to approximately 430 metres and is part of the rugged terrain of the Eryri (Snowdonia) mountain range in north Wales. It lies within the geologically significant area of the Welsh Caledonides, known for its complex metamorphic and igneous rock formations. The hill contributes to the regional landscape character and is valued for its role in local hiking and outdoor recreation.
