Man-made underground passage

In W half of cashel (MA118-080001-). Two stone-built chambers, random uncoursed and roofed with capstones, are connected by a creepway. Chamber 1 (L 3.1m; Wth 1.6m; H 1.2m) is orientated NW-SE. A creepway (L 1m; Wth 0.9m; H 0.4m) leads to Chamber 2 (L 9m; Wth 1.6m; H 2m). A collapsed lintel gives access to this chamber from ground level. Recess (L 1.1m, Wth 0.5m), now partly collapsed, is found on the S wall. The above description has been derived from D.
