What is recorded here

No visible trace remains, but local memory preserved a little stone room buried in the south-east quadrant of the ringfort. It may have been a hidden chamber, a refuge, or a forgotten storage place, and its disappearance leaves the field deeper rather than emptier.

In SE quadrant of ringfort (CO072-049001-). Hartnett (1939, 135) noted, according to local information, 'a little room with stone walls and a roof of big stones. It is now closed but there are surface indications that it did exist'. Now no visible surface trace. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
