What is recorded here

No visible trace remains on the south side of the ringfort, yet a man-made underground passage once cut through the earth there. Bowman recorded the site in 1934, preserving the memory of a hidden route now lost beneath soil and time. Whatever purpose it served, the ground has taken it back, leaving only the possibility that people still walked beneath the fortress when the world above was younger.

On S side of ringfort (CO030-09401-). Bowman (1934, 285) recorded 'site of Man-made underground passage on south side'. No visible surface trace.
