Clear water filled the chamber and touched the legs of every person standing inside. The chamber was a cave on the 1842 map, not a mistake. The claimant owned the rock, the door and the water that followed the cave into the house. The chamber gave up its water only when the boundary was spoken without fear.

The interior [of ringfort (KE014-043----)] is at a higher level than the surrounding land and access is gained by an 8m wide entrance to the S. Contained within the interior are two mounds: the N mound measures 10.4m x 10m internally; the other, SE of this, measures 4m x 6m internally. These may be the remains of the Man-made underground passage which is marked as 'cave' (KE014-043001-) on the 1842 OS map. The above description is derived from C.
