Man-made underground passage in Teergonean

Man-made underground passage

What is recorded here

Located in the NW quadrant of a cashel (CL009-001001-), in an area cut off from the rest of the interior by a later field wall. Three large capstones (Wth 2-2.5m) visible on the ground surface indicate the presence of this Man-made underground passage. Gaps between the slabs revealed a drystone passage (L 3m; Wth 1.3m) oriented c. NE-SW. Undulations and depressions in the ground surface at both ends of the passage suggest that the rest of the Man-made underground passage has collapsed or has been quarried away.
