Man-made underground passage in Sheshymore

Situated in the SE of an enclosure (CLO09-164001-). Identified by Paul Walsh (SMR file). This angular rock-cut Man-made underground passage comprises a passage and chamber, both mostly filled with rubble. Several roof lintels are in position. It is entered from the W, through a passage (L 2.2m; Wth 1m; visible H 0.2m) oriented WNW-ESE, which turns sharply to SSW and continues (L 2.2m; Wth 1m; max. visible H 1m) to a rectangular chamber (2.1m WNW-ESE; 1.65m NNE-SSW; visible D 0.6-0.7m). This has lintelled alcoves at the SW (1m WNW-ESE; 0.6m NNE-SSW; visible D 0.6-0.7m) and SE (1m WNW-ESE; 0.7m NNE-SSW; visible D 0.6-0.7m). The S wall of the SE alcove is drystone-built.
