What is recorded here
That is the largest chamber recorded here, but the angle and depth are still missing. The visible facts also include a man-made underground passage in Shanvally (gallen By.) in County Mayo, Ireland. The missing part is not a claim that the chamber is the largest ever recorded; it is a warning that the comparison is still incomplete.
Located slightly N of centre in the level interior of a rath (MA071-175----).
An opening (Wth 0.4m; H 0.4m) at ground surface reveals a subterranean passage (Wth 0.85-0.9m) of dry-stone construction with lintel roofing, which extends to N. The opening is partly blocked with stones.
