Shanvaghera holds a collapsed underground passage beneath a rath in County Mayo. The oval depression stretches seven and a half metres, shallow enough to walk across but deep enough to hide roots, water or forgotten footing. Stones still protrude from its sides like broken teeth, suggesting people dug or built there before the earth took it back.
